The Catalina 385 is the thirddesign from Gerry Douglas in what has become known as the 5 Series and MARBLEHEAD is an excellent example of the design. With countless features often found on much larger boats, including safety, creature comfort and sailing ability, the Catalina 5 Series models are heads and shoulders above the competition. Accommodations

The Catalina 385has a very accommodating 2-cabin interior layout. The owners cabin is forward with a centerline queen berth forward, hanging locker to starboard and small vanity with seat to port. The head shower compartment is next aft to port and there is a separate door from the owners cabin as well as from the salon. Opposite the head is a large hanging locker, drawer bank and shelves. The port side of the salon features an L-shaped settee with an up/down dinette table that opens andcloses, to be larger or smaller. Further aft is the aft-facing nav. station. Opposite to starboard is a straight bench settee whereby the middle section may be raised and turns into a small table for two. Next aft is the very accommodating galley. Aft of the nav. station isthe guest cabin with athwartship queen berth, hanging locker and small seat. The interior is done in solid and veneer teak, finished in a satin varnish, and the cabin sole is a slightly textured teak holly composite laminate.
