This is a rare opportunity to own this great wooden sailing ketch with lots of history!

The owner of this unique ketch is the 4th owner in This vessel's 57-year history. He owned her for the last 29 years, and the other 3 owners for the first 28 years combined. This vessel had a very interesting history.

She comes armed with two cannons if desired, please inquire about them if you're interested.

According to the owner, this 1964 Colvin Bugeye was designed by Thomas Colvin & built by Ray Kaufman & friends. Colvin manufacturing in Mathews, Va. in 1964. Mr. Kaufman was an MIT-educated Naval Architect from Williamsburg, VA who circumnavigated the globe in a 45ft ketch named HURRICANE & wrote a book called "Hurricane's Wake" in 1942.

Owner statement: "This beautiful Colvin Bugeye has weathered 7 hurricanes, 5 Nor'easters, & 3 tornados. She has been extremely well maintained & extensively upgraded over the last 29yrs of my ownership. She has sailed from Rockport, Maine to Red Bank, New Jersey to Yorktown, Va. as well as several trips up & down the Chesapeake Bay. She has also been featured in Yachting Magazine & Wooden Boat Magazine as well as local newspapers".

This Colvin is known locally as a resident "Pirate Ship" under the flag of "Calico Jack". She participated in dozens of pirate festivals in Hampton & Yorktown, Va.
