With over 50 years of boat building and design experience, Egg Harbor Yachts have earned and maintained their status in the marketplace as "World Class."
Egg Harbor yachts can be found all over the world and this vessel was purchased in California by the present owners and sailed through the Panama Canal to its present location in St. Petersburg, FL.
Clean, fast, maneuverable and classic, the 40' Yacht displays all the traditional Egg Harbor strengths and beauty. You'll appreciate every touch, from its wide-open cockpit and wood-rich luxury interior to its sea-smoothing hull with raised sheer line and soft, dry ride. The broad 14-ft. beam provides ample interior room for a forward stateroom, a full head with separate stand-up shower, galley and dining area down and a few steps up to the large salon featuring a bright wood-rich interior.
Standing at the bow pulpit with its anchor and electric windlass you look back to the Egg Harbor trademark open expanse of foredeck. There are fender holders port and starboard and a large electric winch with swinging arm for a dinghy. The deckhouse frames large windows that allow plenty of light into the living area below. Atop the deckhouse is the flybridge. The flybridge has a glass coaming for protection from spray and the whole flybridge area has a full front isinglass enclosure. You will also notice the radar arch that extends across the back of the flybridge. A bimini top all the way back to the radar arch gives protection from the sun and elements and will keep everyone cool and comfortable.
Going aft, you'll appreciate the wide side decks and rails both on deck and along the sides of the salon. The side windows are large, making the salon bright with unobstructed views.
The aft cockpit is large and the entry door to the salon and surrounding are wood. There's a countertop and sink with lockers. There are also lockers on the side decks under and fishing rod holders by the entry door.
The flybridge is accessed by a ladder from the cockpit. The front has a wide bench seat protected by a glass coaming and covered by the Isinglass enclosure. The bimini top goes from the front of the flybridge all the way back to the radar arch. There are 2 comfortable Captains chairs and the controls, full instrumentation and wheel are on the port side.
Stepping inside the salon you will enjoy the open and bright feeling as well as the extensive wood and fine joinery. The main salon is great for entertaining with full headroom, expansive views out of the large windows port, starboard and forward. There's a sofa and guest chairs as well as a coffee table and lots of room for storage. It's hard to believe that a boat this size can feel so large inside.
Down 3 steps is a complete galley to port and dining area to starboard. There's storage for everything needed for a short or extended cruise. The dining table converts to a double berth.
2 separate air conditioning/heating units keep the boat cool or warm as needed.
Forward is the master cabin with large V berth and storage lockers. The head is to starboard complete with separate shower.
The yacht is powered by economical twin Detroit 671TI engines. The starboard engine recently underwent a top and low end rebuild. There's also a generator and Inverter to provide electric power for all needs both at sea and at home base.
If you're looking for a strong yacht with an impeccable reputation that's at home at the marina, day tripping, weekending or going way offshore then this yacht should be at the top of your must see list.
