The Ipanema 58 Maestro is Fountaine Pajot ’s flagship, and "Calufea" is Genuinely in "As New Condition" with almost every conceivable option included. She redefines the concept of space and luxury aboard a large sailing catamaran. Stepping aboard is like walking into your very own floating Presidential Suite. Large spaces are broken up into intimate conversation nooks, and it’s easy to either be a part of the social scene, or get away from the large number of people that this boat is designed can carry.
The aft cockpit is just two easy steps up from the dockside, where a large transom settee comfortably seats eight for dinner. To port, there is an L-shaped settee where up to 15 guests could be sipping cocktails without rubbing elbows, while to starboard is a chaise lounge, and a GRP hard-top that carries a solar array above, protects the entire cockpit below from the elements.
A couple more steps on both sides of the cockpit lead up to the side decks, and from there are more steps leading up to the port and starboard sides of fly bridge where ten more people can gather at the U-shaped settee with twin tables, without disturbing the helmsman to starboard. Four winches on the center line and forward control all the lines, so the working cockpit is separated from the lounge space. This a great place for fun-n-the-sun, however, there is a separate canopy for the helm station, and the whole area can be sheltered from the sun with a boom cover when the vessel is at anchor or in the slip in light conditions.
There is a wet bar module located just to the side of the port lounge. You can also simply get away from everybody else and lounge on the twin pads on the fore deck just aft of the two trampolines.
Cockpit features two large storage lockers beautifuly crafted teak table, sofas with storage under, fridge icemaker, MAGMA barbecue and 'wet bar'. There are also outdoor cushions for all cockpit seating, synthetic teak flooring on cockpit and gangway steps and the recessed LED down lights courtesy lighting is tastefully provided.
Fly bridge has 360 degree view and dual access from both port and starboard sides of the cockpit and the following features and options:
Sofa on port side; lounge deck with large seating bench/furniture, sun awning,and 'wet bar' option and 65 l fridge
Separate fly bridge helm station with double seat, steering and instrument console, engine throttles, control panels, Bimini, Draylon protective cover for wheel and dedicated 4-winch sail control station that controls mainsail, genoa, reefing and halyards
Th extensive main saloon is accessed from the cockpit by a large sliding glass door and air conditioned throughout..
The “Classic” layout option has an open plan saloon with an enormous and well-conceived integrated galley which is to starboard. To port there is an L-shaped sofa with a low cocktail table that converts to a dining table.with leather upholstery and Parquet flooring throughout
The saloon also features a forward-facing nav station on the center-line and comprising console for electrical panel, navigation instruments/ dual engine throttle controls storage and reading lights

Extremely well-conceived open galley with an upright, home-style side-by-side refrigerator/freezer is just aft of two large sinks on an island. An oven is built into the bulkhead next to the fridge. Outboard, there is a 5-burner gas cook-top with oven, and the galley comprises dishwasher,microwave, double stainless sink loads of storage and counter space.
Panoramic views can be experienced through picture windows and aft facing portholes
Ventilation is via two large front-opening hatches and three roof hatches

Calufea sleeps 10 guests in 5 double staterooms with en suite bathrooms PLUS two crew accommodating a total of 12 people all with air conditioning, blinds and fly-screens fitted on operable hatches and configured as follows:
Starboard Hull: 3 double staterooms + 1 single crew cabin in fore-peak
Port Hull: Owners Suite + 1 double stateroom 1 x single crew cabin in fore-peak
All 5 staterooms have en suite bathrooms with separate showers, electric fresh water toilets and recessed overhead and task LED lighting. All grey water is automatically drained.
All 4 guest double beds and owner's king size bed have slatted bases

Owner's Master Stateroom is in the port hull, access is via forward wood-paneled companionway with recessed LED lighting and comprises:
Sleeping area with king size slatted bed with built-in drawer below, bedside shelves, wardrobe, fitted closet clothes hooks, deck hatch, porthole overlooking aft deck, aft panoramic window and large picture window on hull side.
Office area with desk and seat, storage cabinet, hanging closet, library wall niche, deck hatch and loveseat. Separate lighting zone with recessed LEDs and reading lamp.
En Suite bathroom with make up area and hand-basin with storage below, mirrored shelf, clothes hooks, deck hatch, hot cold faucets; Shower accessed via Plexiglas door. Head is in a separate compartment with paneled wooden door from bathroom.

Forward guest suites in port and starboard hulls are accessed by forward wood-paneled companionways with recessed LED lighting.

Calufea carries 1,800 square feet of sail which move her efficiently through the water. She has fixed keels and draws just over 4.5 feet, making her well suited for shallower waters but she will track nicely under sail, and there are twin upgraded 110 HP diesel engines ith shaft drives that move her along nicely, and she has over 1,200 amp-hours of battery capacity, with some solar and a generator for a comfortable stay aboard off the grid.
