“On Point” is a typical “overbuilt” 1975 Hatteras that has been about completely rebuilt. The current owner, a meticulous retired Vietnam, USMC veteran, started rebuilding her in about 2005/2006 with the intent to turn her into a comfortable, economical vessel for fishing tournaments and trips.
Unfortunately, health issues have forced him back on land. In his words: “I have spent over $97K on new engines, transmission, shafts, props, transducer, cutlass bearings, electronics, chargers, batteries, A/C’s and more, I am just throwing in the boat hull for free, time for someone else to take over and use the boat more than I can.”

This boat hull maybe older, but she has been well taken care of for sure! Inside is sparse, yet clean, could use a bit of cosmetic updating if you would like to keep the Mrs. Happy, but otherwise, a sound, ready to go boat. All the manuals are aboard. The owner has had professionals install all new equipment. The engines are fired on a regular basis and all systems checked. The boat is dove and cleaned on a regular basis too. The seller is even including everything in the dock box, which includes extras and some replacements. There is even the possibility of keeping her at her current slip. Definitely a must-see boat if a solid, well maintained fishing boat is what you are looking for. With the new Yanmar engines, she sips fuel instead of guzzling it and you still get there fast. There is even some new equipment that will be installed during inspection haul out.Mechanical Disclaimer
