This is one of the less notable designs from Mark Ellis, of Nonsuch fame.
However, the Niagara 35's are an exceptional vessel for quick coastal cruising or round the buoys racing and quite a few have travelled overseas.
The layout is somewhat unconventional for its age by not having a V berth forward, but this was ahead of it's time, as quite few European boats in the last 20 years have gone down the same route. This opens up the saloon for easier access to galley and chart table, while the main accommodations are in the aft quarters.
The shoal draft, of just over 5 feet, provide a very fair compromise for coastal work and yet is stiff enough to carry sufficient canvas to work to windward in a seaway.
The build quality from Hinterhoeller is well proven with the more popular designs such as the Nonsuch's, however the Niagara 35 benefitted from a deep moulded toe rail which added stiffness to an already tough hull.
This particular Niagara has been in the same family since being purchased new in 1981, and spent most of her life on Lake Ontario, only coming down to Rhode Island in 2004.
There have been some improvements to the boat, such as a Raymarine chart-plotter in 2017, Hood mainsail in 2015 and a Hood furling genoa, with Schaeffer furler around 2010. This season she was given fresh bottom paint and has recently been launched to her seasonal slip, the remainder of the seasonal slip is included in the sale. The mast just had it's internal wiring conduit renewed and simultaneously, the tricolor/anchor mast head light has also been replaced.
Additional photos will be uploaded shortly.

155% light air genoa/reacher

Other than the 140% genoa, the other headsails are hank on type and would need the luff corrected to use with the newer furling system.
