This 216 is a stable, simple and modestly priced trailerable daysailor intended to suit both novices and seasoned sailors. This daysailor is easy to sail with plenty of space in the cockpit and a feeling of protection from high coamings which will be reassuring for the sailing novice.

The ACP-constructed 216 is the largest thermoformed boat in the world, and won the NMMAs highly-coveted Innovation Award in 2004 for its pioneering design and construction methods. The large cockpit accommodates six in comfort, with an extra large cuddy, a small v-berth and a portable head. The special hydraulic lift mechanism allows for effortless lifting of the lead keel, while the unique lifting VARA inboard rudder delivers real performance with true beaching ability. Super easy to rig and launch.

Construction is by Hunters Advanced composite process which combines thermoformed UV protected plastic, fiberglass mat and injected foam. The goal is to provide a tough almost maintenance free hull that is virtually unsinkable. The high density urethane foam adds stiffness and impact resistance.
