Ready to Ride Away into the Sunset? Come Sail Away, Come Sail Away, Come and Sail Away with The Island Girl!

New air conditioning in 2017 16,000 btu model FCF.

Custom made V-berth mattress (4 inches of memory foam and 4.5 inches of High-density foam

Removed carpet throughout and painted with water/mold proof primer (3 coats) and SC#1000 high build Sound Deadening and decreasing paint resulting in a well-insulated cabin.

Expanded both the fore and aft entryways to the berths (creates a more open feel for the vessel)

Replaced the headliner and walls of the cabin with polycarbonate sheets with marine grade waterproof canvas which can easily be removed.

A 250 watt solar panel was added to keep the batteries charged via the sun

New Propellor Shaft, Shaft Box, Stuffing Box, Coupler. Re-finished Prop and Shaft Srut. We noticed vibration from the shaft on our way to put her in storage. After removal and inspection by Blair Propellor in Stuart, we were advised to replace shaft/shaft box and coupler, have alignment completed. This is critical to the longevity of the shaft, mounts, etc. It turned out that when we purchased her she was not aligned correctly. We did not have any issues with operation when we owned it, but correct alignment would have made replacement unnecessary.
Replaced flexible Engine mounts. Engine mounts had failed due to mis-alignment.
Replaced Raw water pump.
Complete replacement of Salon Portlights as they had been cracked due to excessive tightening.
Removed the black/cracked original vinyl and painted in Navy Blue Topside paint. It was difficult to get a good picture of it, but it looks much better.
Replaced gaskets at fresh water pump(removed for cleaning and painting.
Replaced gasket at initial fuel priming pump.
Replaced Mixing elbow with Stainless Steel elbow. These tend to get corroded, so this is one less thing to think about.
Rebuilt Starboard Head wall. There was rotted wood caused from a leak at the companion way.
Sealed Leaky Companionway hatch.
When rebuilding the Head wall, included an access panel to more easily check the oil, and have access to fuel intakes.
Replaced all the engine room insulation with 1" thick sailor solutions sound board. We have not had a chance to run her, but the reviews are very good on its insulation qualities.
Applied a layer of cork to Companionway entry(I do not have photos, but similar to Galley)
Made companionway step a liftable hatch. Makes it so much better for toping off oil or working on the topside of the engine
Removed Rust and corrosion caused from the leaky companion way, neutralized rust and Painted engine with high heat ceramic paint(2 coats of primer 3 top-coats. Note: the only pictures I have is when companion way step was not in.
Replaced headliner in V-berth.
Painted throughout with Rustoleum Almond(3 coats) to lighten the Salon and Cabins.
Painted Engine room floor with Topside White(3 coats). Makes it easier to see if there are any leaks.
Removed Teak/Sanded with 80/100/150/220/500 and applied Spar Varnish (6coats)

The electronics included(Auto-Pilot, Wind, Speed, and depth meter) all work. There are some hairline cracks in the display, but not through the entire display(so water does not get in). But, if that is an issue for you, you may want to replace.

Sails: The Genoa Jib is in excellent condition stored in AC storage when not in use and very low NM. The main sail is a bit tired, but will not need replacement.
We removed the shower from the head as we were living dockside. We do have the original faucet and shower if you want to put it back in.

The batteries(1 starter and 2 house) are holding charge, but I would replace them as they have been sitting and were purchased in 2017 from Costco.
The original 12v Refrigerator compressor was removed, but the insulated storage was left in. We used a 12v cooler in the Aft cabin and it worked well for us. If you want, you can drop in a new 12v compressor/refrigeration unit where the old one was and hook it up to the Insulated storage.
The Aft cabin does not have mattress Cushions. We got a quote for $300 to have them done and have the measurements, but did not have time to complete. The V-berth cushions are 8" of Memory Foam and is seriously comfortable! We did it that way since we lived on her.

Who is this boat good for?
We bought her to live on dockside as we wanted to learn to sail and the freedom to move around. Thats why we installed a Marine AC;) We are still novices so all I can say is what I read, that she is not a blue water boat, but perfect for coastal family cruising or island hopping through the Carribean. She has been to the Bahamas a number of times(not with us, as we only coastal sailed). She was rigged by the original owners as a local Regatta racer. Not really knowing much about that, all I can say is we had cruising at 8-9 Knots and she really felt great! We were going to take her to Puerto Rico where we moved, but we just do not have the time as we have a new baby girl!

Great opportunity to own a beautiful, quick, two cabin boat for a low price. She is easy to sail and low in maintenance costs. Perfect for a liveaboard.
