In the early years of the 21st century, Leopard became a huge player in the catamaran industry. The early boats in general were well finished, sailed moderately well, and gained a foothold in the charter industry. However, South African boats at that time seemed to universally ignore bridge deck clearance across the board. Leopard decided to address this.

In 2007 or so, Robertson and Caine (builders of Leopard) contracted the great American design firm of Morelli and Melvin (Gunboat and others) to design their boats. From 2007, until 2012, Leopard built boats that were elegant, sensible, and pretty exciting to sail. This was a watershed moment for the brand.

This 38, built at the end of that run, exemplifies all the best of the period. The boat is a perfect small live aboard with really nice sailing character. There are precious few of these boats out there! This one is in very nice condition, with lots of updates, and should not be missed!
