First Light is Hull #9 in the very popular LW38 series built by Lightwave Yachts in Australia and boasts a voluminous and comfortable interior with tons of storage. Her smart salon design, excellent galley-down that remains open to the salon, her owner's berth and large walk in shower set her apart from most other 38' catamaran options. Sporting excellent underwing clearance, she is faster underway and will not pound or slam like so many other catamarans.

This 2001 Lightwave 38 is designed by the world renowned Tony Grainger, and has to be one of the most intelligent "under 40-foot" Cats ever designed or built. This explains why they are so popular in Australia, and why they cost much more to build than the typical production catamaran. She offers superior lightweight foam core construction with solid vinyl ester resin below the waterline.

From 2004 to 2013 she was used lightly during the summer season, and wintered on the hard under cover. First Light has been well-cared for by her previous and current owners.
