SUZSEA was originally built with a great deal of attention to sound insulation and battery generated electricity. Her highly customized electrical system and enormous battery capacity must be seen to be appreciated. The boat is designed to be used for extended periods on anchor with minimal power drain. Her present owners have reaped the benefits of this planning and have added their own improvements and upgrades to make her an even more trouble-free, safe, and comfortable yacht.

SUZSEAhas three double staterooms, each with an ensuite head and shower, and a double crew cabin or fourth stateroom aft, also with a full head and shower.

The main salon is the entry point from the aft deck and invites you into a very comfortable well appointed space with a cherry interior that incorporates burled maple inlays in the window mullions in the main salon, pilothouse and master stateroom. There is a sofa to port and two chairs to starboard. The cabinetry is exceptional, with beveled glass display cases that add to the warm interior. Up two steps to the galley are stainless steel appliances, a double sink and granite counter tops. Going forward from the galley is a day head to starboard with onyx counter top.

Forward from there you enter a proper pilothouse. There is seating for 6, U-shaped with excellent visibility. All instruments were carefully laid out with the greatest of detailed planning and easily accessible. A single Stidd helm chair with black upholstery is at the wheel. From the pilothouse you can exit to the side decks on either port or starboard, go up to the flybridge or down to the master and guest staterooms. The galley, pilot house, day head, staterooms, below deck hallway and crew quarters all feature a teak and holly cabin sole.

Down the stairs from the pilothouse and forward is the VIP cabin, a queen size bed with plenty of hanging storage space and drawers. Overhead is a full size hatch. There is a full size private head with large shower. The counter tops and fixtures were upgraded. Aft of the VIP there is a stateroom to port with two single beds, ample storage and a private head with shower. Aft of this space there is a Whirlpool stacked front load washer/dryer to starboard in a hallway closet leading to the master stateroom. The master is full beam width with a king size bed. There is a very large walk-in closet on starboard and forward, and the master bath is on port to aft. There are two sinks, a semi private area for the toilet and a full size shower. As you move aft from the master on the starboard side you enter the ships office with plenty of storage space and shelves to house all ships records with space to spare. Also the main breaker panel is in this area. You can enter the engine room from this space.

Aft of the engine room is the crew area with a crew sleeping cabin for two, crew head with shower to port. Also in the crew area there is an additional KitchenAid side by side refrigerator, microwave, sink and storage space. Aft from this area you exit to the swim deck.

SUZSEA has exceptional volume in consideration of her 21 beam, and at 73 offers the accommodations and comfort of yachts in the 80 range, yet is easily handled by a cruising couple. Her current owners have updated a number of the yachts systems, and she shows as a much newer vessel than her year built.

Stability at sea has always been a virtue of the Outer Reef Classic series, and with the traditional design of this series remaining unchanged, a new 73 would have an identical profile. This feature leads to a very high retention of value, especially in consideration of a new build sistership. Her semi displacement design offers great fuel economy at hull speeds, while 1,000hp Caterpillar C-18s allow for higher speeds not available to a full displacement yacht, plus her draft of 56 allows cruising to more remote destinations. Her hull design lends itself to allow passages in weather conditions that would leave others yachts at their home docks.
