"Guillemot" is an ideal cruising boat for a couple with very solid construction (the Devlin "Stitch and Glue System) and updated reliable electronics. Recent investments and Sam Devlin

Boats designed and built by Sam Devlin over more than 45 years have been setting standards for strong, seaworthy durability, and Guillemot is a perfect example of a small cruising boat for a couple. With lots of usable space and sensible equipment the boat is well suited to either Chesapeake, Pacific Northwest, or even Alaskan waters.

Over the past 3 years an experienced owner couple have accomplished many improvements including complete new Garmin navigation equipment and VHF radio, new hot water heater, new inverter charger, Balmar alternator, AGM battery banks, new LED interior DC lights and GFI AC outlets, new extended stainless steel deck railings, new cockpit lazarette hatches, new foredeck hatch and new silicone bronze cast bollard, Dorade vent, windscreen wipers, new ground tackle anchor and stainless steel, strength-tested 100 ft. rode and other boat’s gear.

The Devlin method of boatbuilding has been acknowledged worldwide for integrity and strength, as in 2012 when the editors of WoodenBoat Magazine gave a lifetime achievement award for design and boatbuilding method. Another aspect of the design is apparent in Guillemot when the amount of interior space is clearly greater and put to excellent use to provide functionality aboard.
