A classic Albin 36 Trawler that has been well maintained by her past and current owners.
The Albin 36 Double Cabin Trawler is an elaborately built yacht from Taiwan, featuring outstanding workmanship from one of the better yards.
The Albin 36 Double Cabin Trawler does have the standard semi-displacement hull shape with hard chines. Her double cabin feature provides the lower center of gravity along with the effective underbody shape that combine to give an easier overall motion in a seaway that includes the reduction of the rate and magnitude of the roll. The solid fiberglass hull does have a full skeg keel feature to protect the rudder and running gear. The keel also is good for directional stability which certainly reduces the helmsman’s fatigue factor during long passages.
Enter from the port or starboard boarding gates and onto the wide side deck. The high railings make maneuverability fore and aft safe and easy. Forward is access to the bow with an anchor pulpit and windlass. Aft is the cockpit, access to the swim platform and one teak step onto the cabin top for access to the flybridge. The exterior side decks have been coated with Tuff Coat for years of protection from the elements. The flybridge deck is original teak and the bridge is protected with a green Sunbrella bimini and forward side curtains. The helm and companion seat are elevated and provide excellent visibility. There are aft facing seating for guests covered with green and white Sunbrella fabric and the side coamings are protected with matching green Sunbrella fabric.
Along the port side there is access into the main cabin while along the starboard side is access into the lower helm and main cabin. The main cabin is large with the U-Shaped settee to starboard with a teak high/low table. Across from the settee and along the port side is the galley and galley refrigerator in a cabinet aft. The lower helm is forward to starboard and offers seating for two with a full array of gauges and electronics all within easy reach. Centered is the companionway into the forward cabin. The cabin features a V-Berth with side shelving, hanging locker, ample storage drawers and an ensuite head and shower. All the way aft is the companionway to the aft cabin, down a few steps the Pullman double berth is along the port side and there is large cabinet with several drawers, a desk area to starboard and a hanging locker forward and to port. The aft cabin has an ensuite head complete with tub/shower stall, sink and cabinets.
The interior parquet flooring, teak woodwork and joinery, matching fabrics and miniblinds make the yacht feel spectacular. The large windows, overhead hatches and multiple ports give a good deal of natural light and ventilation.
Located in the main cabin along the port side, the galley is large and has ample room for storage and food preparation.
