A delightful trailerable pocket cruiser/trawler MARTLET is a 1999 British Hunter Landau 20' purchased new at 2000 Annapolis Boat Show by the current owners. The style and layout remind one of her US-built cousins the extremely popular Ranger Tug and Rosborough trailerable cruisers. MARTLET has been exceptionally well cared for and is in very good condition. Having cruised all over the east coast and Canada. Easily trailered allows for exploring distant cruising locations. Her shallow draft is ideal for the back waters yet with her tunnel hull design she is UK rated C coastal cruising. 30Amp shore power allows for dockside overnighting or RV park on the road camping in air-conditioned comfort. MARTLET has a full cockpit canvas (2022) creating a “back porch” protected space. Owners have maintained MARTLET to the highest standards including re-powered with a 2006 Honda 90hp outboard, hull has been repainted with “Awlgrip” Aristo blue, bottom was soda blasted in 2023 with 2 coats of epoxy barrier coat and antifouling. AC and DC electric control panels. There is a complete boat cover with frames and hull side covering for winter storage on her trailer. Designed with a common objective to accommodate the best of the land-sea lifestyle, trailerable pocket cruisers seem a natural fit in the world of trawlers.

Walkthrough

As you approach, MARTLET is boarded aft of the cabin over port or starboard gunnel with a molded step into the 6’8” length cockpit. Forward starboard is the helm and folding helm chair and port the companion folding chair mounted on molded cabinets with storage lockers under each. The cockpit sole has a large lockable hatch for 2 HDPE gas tanks total of 18 gallons. Aft is the outboard motor well access door with an attractive removable wooden shelf also functioning as a cockpit table. Aft each side has a molded cushion seat. The entire cockpit has canvas covering with clear window panels in exceptionally good condition. When seated at the helm chair or companion chair there is a window that allows seated navigation by looking through the forward cabin windows. The forward deck is accessible from port and starboard gunnels. Substantial safety lines and a stainless bow pulpit provide safety. The forward deck has anchor storage with bow mounted roller. Opening deck hatch into cabin with solar fan, opening cabin windows starboard has a windshield wiper for helm visibility in the rain. You enter the cabin, one step down, from the cockpit through a lockable Dutch door with screen. Upon entering the cabin there is a sink and microwave to port and a butane stove to starboard on small counters with storage under. Seating to port and starboard that double as berths. Berths are made more comfortable for sleeping, with 2” custom foam mattress toppers in removable custom covers. Forward to bow is storage, porta potty and a concealed marine air conditioning unit. The cabin is bright and airy with two forward opening windows, two side windows and 4 side portholes. All windows and portholes have snap-on or velcro window covers.
