Vessel Layout

The Parker 2520 XL Sport Cabin offers a lot of great features within her 25' length.  The boat has been an industry standard and has earned a reputation as a solid, well-built vessel.  Her combination of having a cabin to use for running in inclement weather, to her massive cockpit good for many different uses proves why this vessel has been so popular.

The design has been upgraded and refined since it's inception, and this example has really had very light use over the years by her original owner.  She has been enjoyed solely on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, and she has never been fished. 

Up on the bow, there is an electric windlass on the bow sprit for easy anchor handling.  If you need to store a second anchor, there is a locker set up to handle the storage of a Danforth-style anchor.  Moving aft, there is an oversized bow rail to use as a good handhold, along with handrails on either side of the hard top.  A rocket launcher rod holder is mounted on the aft end of the hard top. 

Stepping down the built-in steps brings you into the very large cockpit.  There is a second helm station on the starboard side, insulated fish box at the stern, a livewell, and a transom door providing access to the outboard motor and stern of the vessel. 

Entering the helm deck area through the lockable door, there are high seats facing one another (with storage below) behind the helm and mate's seats.  Both the helm and mate seats have the suspension-style seating, which helps with smoothing out the ride on the rough days.  Side windows and front windows all open, allowing for great ventilation.  Helm is simple and functional, offering Garmin electronics, VHF, and a Yamaha engine digital display. 

Forward of the helm and mate's seat is the forward berth space.  Sleeping accommodation for two is possible with the large V-berth.  The electric head is on centerline between the berths, and has a 20 gallon holding tank.

Overall the beauty of the Parker 2520 XL is in the simplicity of her design.  Form follows function, and the layout has proved excellent for a multitude of uses.  Do not miss the opportunity to own this fine vessel!
