Broker's Notes

Built in Cape Town, South African, this rare Cruiser Cats Havana 40 is a rare feature rich Luxury Flybridge Power Catamaran.

Built to CE and ABYC standards, she is constructed with quadriaxial fiberglass and NidaCore, honeycomb core to provide exceptional strength and reduced weight. This results in a excellent performance and exceptional fuel efficiency. With twin 260 HP Yanmar diesels with less than 700 hours, she is reported to have a top speed of 21 knots. Cruising at 16 knots, she uses 1 gallon per Nautical mile. At a cruising speed of 6-7 knots, she goes 3 Nautical Miles per gallon, which gives her incredible range with her 400 gallon fuel tank.

Founded by Clark Boeken, a successful Texas businessman and experienced boats, set out to design and build one of the world's highest quality power catamarans. If you are considering purchasing a Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, Aquila, Leopard, Manta, PDQ or any other power cat, take a serious look at the Cruiser Cats.

Description

ACCOMMODATIONS.

Centerline in the A ft Cockpit is a U-shaped settee with a table; easily sitting six people for eating or entertaining. This aft cockpit is covered by a hard top and surrounded by a sun block enclosure. On both port and starboard of the area is the aft hull decks with opening hatches for rear entrance to the respective engine rooms. There is also forward engine room access from the respective two aft Staterooms under the mattresses through lift up hatches. The starboard aft hull stern has a SS swing down swim boarding ladder. On the outboard sides of the cockpit are molded in steps up to both the port and starboard side decks leading to the foredeck. Forward of the cockpit U shaped settee on the port side is a L shaped settee seating two comfortably. To the starboard side is the molded stairs, then steps up to the Flybridge.

The Flybridge station has two helm chairs to the port side with full instrumentation and navigation equipment. Just aft of the helm chairs is an Isotherm Fridge with ice tray. Aft of that, from centerline to the port side is a U shaped lounge/settee with a fixed table - easily seating 6-8. On the centerline to starboard side aft in the Flybridge are two seating/lounge cushions. The entire Flybridge is surrounded by a sturdy aluminum railing with three horizontal railings. There is a fiberglass hardtop with a clear enclosure similar to EZ2CY windows facing forward with flip-up center panel, and rollup U shaped zipped windows on the side panels.

The Foredec k has three lift-up hatches, the center one being extra anchor storage and the chain locker for the main anchor. The two outside lazarettes being a massive amount of storage. There is a port and starboard single padded seat for those to love to ride at the bow. Three sturdy fender holders on both sides store six fenders. Deck and cabin top have four opening hatches over the MSR and the Saloon Settee areas. The entire side decks and foredeck is surrounded by aluminum railings and stanchions with good handholds everywhere.

The Cabin area is entered from the cockpit through a bifold glass door into the Main Salon . Directly forward is a very large U-shaped settee with a hi-low table easily seating six. Immediately to the starboard is the Isotherm Freezer and to port is molded in seat for one, facing forward towards the settee.

Down to the Starboard hull is the Galley going to forward and a Guest Stateroom and its Vanity area to aft. This Vanity area has a sink, under sink storage and a mirror. Aft of the Vanity area is the queen-sized berth that lifts up to gain access to the starboard engine. There is one opening porthole in the side hull. The portside Guest Stateroom and its Vanity area is a mirror image of this starboard side. Both Guest Stateroo ms have doors for privacy.

Forward of the steps down to the STARBOARD hull ia the in-line Galley . On the inboard side is the two-burner electric Stove, Microwave Convention Oven, the Isotherm Refrigerator, counter space and storage cabinets and drawers. On the outboard side is the SS dual basin sink with hot and cold water, and lots of countertop space and both upper and lower cabinets. There is an opening hull side porthole over the sink and lots of fixed window lights above the upper cabinets.

Forward of the Galley is the Guest/Day Head and Show er up in the bow, along with starboard step-up access to the MSR berth. There is a pocket door that closes off this entrance to the MSR berth for privacy. The MSR berth is really two queen sized berths as this vessel was originally designed to allow for this Stateroom to be divided down the centerline to be two Guest Staterooms, if used for charter service. This vessel never had that dividing wall, as the Owner wasn't going to charter the boat. Door for privacy exits in storage.

Down to the PORT hull from the Main Salon , aft is the port Vanity and Guest Stateroom. Forward is the passageway with lots of storage and countertop space and the AC/DC panel and electrical controls (invertor, genset remote panel, etc.). Forward of this passageway is the "real" entrance to the Master Stateroom and its ensuite Head and Shower. It has a door ensuring privacy. The Head and Shower mirrors the Guest/Day Head on the starboard side.

The complete interior is richly appointed in Teak and Holly floorboards, cherry cabinetry and cherry wood paneling throughout. There are quality product choices and workmanship throughout the vessel. The well-thought-out layout both inside and out provides for lots of storage space, lots of entertainment space and sleeping quarters within 40' of power catamaran. She is very "marina slip friendly" at 15'11" of beam. Huge storage under each of the (2) hull's soles.
